$\left\{ \begin{matrix} x>4 \\ x<9 \end{matrix} \right.$
$4<x<9$.

$\left\{ \begin{matrix} x-7<-2 \\ x-2>8 \end{matrix} \right.$
$\left\{ \begin{matrix} x<-2+7 \\ x>8+2 \end{matrix} \right.$
